BANDRONE 6MG INJECTION

Introduction:

Bandrone 6mg injection contains the active ingredient Ibandronic acid. It is prescribed to help treat or prevent osteoporosis in women. Osteoporosis refers to the thinning and weakening of bones which is common in post-menopausal women. At menopause, a woman’s ovaries stop producing the female hormone oestrogen, which helps to keep her skeletal system healthy.  This is a prescription only medication and should not be taken unless prescribed by a doctor.

Uses of Bandrone 6mg injection:

• Bandrone 6mg injection is used to treat menopause related osteoporosis in older women that can lead to bone fractures.

How Bandrone 6mg injection works:

Bandrone 6mg injection contains the active ingredient Ibandronic acid which helps prevent and treat osteoporosis by reversing bone loss and increasing bone mass in post menopausal women. It helps lower the chances of bone injuries such as fractures.

Safety Advice
 

Pregnancy:

Bandrone 6mg injection is only meant to be used in post menopausal women and should not be taken by women can conceive. This medicine is not safe to use in pregnancy. Consult your doctor for advice.

Breastfeeding:

This medicine is not safe to use in breastfeeding women. Consult with your doctor for advice.

Driving:

This medicine may cause weakness or dizziness in some patients. Such patients are advised to avoid driving. Consult with your doctor for advice.

Others:

This medicine is unsafe to use in women with low calcium levels. Consult with your doctor for advice.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Although all medicines cause side effects; not everyone gets them.

Severe:

• Dizziness
• Asthma attacks
• Inflammation of the bowels (causing stomach ache)
• Severe nausea and vomiting
• Eye pain or inflammation
• Itching and inflammation of the throat, lips. tongue

Common:

• Hives
• Flu-like symptoms (fever, nausea etc.)
• Back pain
• Tiredness
• Flatulence
