Basaglar 100IU/ml injection contains an active component called Insulin glargine. This medicine is a modified form of human insulin, and it has a long and steady blood-sugar-lowering action. It is used to treat both type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults and pediatric patients. It is not recommended for diabetic ketoacidosis patients.

Inform your doctor if you have a liver or kidney problem, are obese(overweight), have acute illness, edema or sodium retention, have eye problems, low blood pressure, and are allergic to Insulin glargine or any of its ingredients. Elderly patients should be cautious while taking the medicine. Your doctor will advise you to monitor your blood pressure while under medication. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant or while you are breastfeeding.
