Celrixafor 24mg Injection is a stem cell mobilizer that is recommended in combination with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF) to prepare hematopoietic stem cells for transplant in patients with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and multiple myeloma.
Contact your healthcare provider immediately in case you experience chest discomfort, pain in the upper left belly or shoulder, or allergic reactions like swelling during this course of treatment.
Uses of Celrixafor 24mg Injection:
- Celrixafor 24mg Injection helps to collect blood stem cells for collection, storage and transplantation.
- It is prescribed for adults with cancer in White blood cells (Lymphoma) and plasma cells in the bone marrow (Multiple myeloma).
- It is also prescribed for children from age 1 to 18 with lymphoma or solid tumors.
How Celrixafor 24mg Injection Works:
Celrixafor 24mg Injection prevents the binding of cell-derived factors to the chemokine receptor (CXCR4) and assembles cells into the bone marrow. This process causes the release of stem cells into the bloodstream, where the stem cells can be collected and isolated using a machine and stored for transplantation.

Celrixafor 24mg Injection should be administered only under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. It is intended to be administered under the skin.
Safety Advice:
Pregnancy:
Talk to your physician before initiating this treatment if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
Breastfeeding:
Consult your physician before you take this medicine if you are a breastfeeding mother.
Kidney:
Talk to your physician before beginning this treatment if you have kidney problems.
Driving:
Plerixafor might cause dizziness and tiredness. Avoid driving or using machines if you are experiencing dizziness, fatigue or sickness.
Allergies:
Talk to your physician before you take this medicine if you have had a history of hypersensitivity to Plerixafor or its ingredients.
Others:
Inform your physician before you take this medicine if you have or ever had any heart problems, low WBC, high Platelet counts or giddiness due to injections.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Allergic reactions

- Headache

- Sleeplessness
- Vomiting, indigestion, constipation

- Redness at the site of injection
- Low values of RBC
