Clogen 10mg Lozenges are used to treat the following:

• Fungal infections like candidiasis.

Clogen 10mg Lozenges's mechanism of action is based on its ability to inhibit the synthesis of ergosterol, a vital component of fungal cell membranes. Ergosterol maintains the integrity and fluidity of the fungal cell membrane. This medication targets an enzyme called 14-alpha demethylase, essential for converting lanosterol to ergosterol in the fungal cells. By inhibiting this enzyme, this medication disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol, accumulating toxic sterol intermediates and causing structural damage to the fungal cell membrane. 

As a result, the cell becomes more permeable, allowing essential cellular components to leak out and leading to the death of the fungal organism. Since human cells do not produce ergosterol and have different enzymes for cholesterol synthesis, it exhibits selective toxicity, effectively targeting fungal pathogens while sparing human cells.

Inform the doctor about your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Clogen 10mg Lozenges, reducing effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

• Store at room temperature, between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F).

• Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.

• It should not be frozen.

• Keep away from children and pets.

To use Clogen 10mg Lozenges, place one in your mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly without chewing or swallowing. Avoid eating or drinking for some time after dissolution. Follow the prescribed dosage and treatment duration, and consult your healthcare provider.

Clogen 10mg side effects all medications, although not everyone will experience them. 

Serious:

• Severe allergic reactions

• Mouth or throat pain, redness, or ulcers

Common:

• Abnormal liver functions

• Nausea, vomiting, unpleasant mouth sensations

• Pruritus

• Local irritation

• Stinging or burning sensation

• Inform your healthcare provider about any allergies to clotrimazole or similar antifungal medications before use.

• If pregnant or breastfeeding, seek medical advice prior to using Clogen 10mg Lozenges.

• These lozenges are for oral use only; do not apply them to the eyes or ears.

• Avoid chewing or swallowing the lozenge whole — allow it to dissolve slowly in the mouth.

• Patients with liver or kidney impairment or weakened immune systems should consult a doctor for proper dosage and suitability.

• Complete the entire prescribed course even if symptoms improve, to prevent recurrence.

• Stop use and consult a doctor if mouth or throat pain, redness, or ulcers worsen or newly appear.

• Follow all warnings and usage instructions provided on the product packaging.

• Maintain good oral hygiene and schedule regular dental check-ups during treatment.

• Store the lozenges in a cool, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.

• Do not use the product after its expiration date.

• If any side effects or unusual symptoms occur, seek medical advice promptly.
