Dilminox 5mg Tablet contains minoxidil. It is used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Uncontrolled blood pressure can cause heart failure, blindness, kidney failure, and heart attacks. This medicine should not be used if your high blood pressure is caused due to Pheochromocytoma (tumor of the adrenal gland) or if you are allergic to the ingredients of this medication.
Talk to your physician if you have heart problems, kidney problems, intolerance to some sugars, or if you are undergoing hemodialysis or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine. Do not stop taking Dilminox 5mg Tablet without consulting your physician. If your physician suggests you a low salt diet, follow it carefully. If you have any blood tests or an ECG (assess the electrical activity of your heart), remind your physician that you are taking this medicine, as it can change the results.

How to use Dilminox 5mg Tablet:
Take Dilminox 5mg Tablet in a dose and duration prescribed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole with water. Do not crush or chew the tablets.

Pregnancy:
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking Dilminox 5mg Tablet.
Breastfeeding:
Dilminox 5mg Tablet is not recommended for breastfeeding women as it passes into breast milk. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medicine.
Kidney:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any kidney disorders or if you are undergoing hemodialysis before taking Dilminox 5mg Tablet.
Driving:
Dilminox 5mg Tablet may make you feel dizzy or faint. Avoid driving if you are unwell.
Others:
- Talk to your doctor if you have heart problems or intolerance to some sugars before taking Dilminox 5mg Tablet.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Feeling faint, or dizzy especially when you stand up
- Puffy ankles, weight gain
- Wheezing, chest pain
Common:
- Increased heart rate
- Abnormal electrocardiogram (ECG)
- Increased hair growth, changes in hair color
- Lining that surrounds the heart becomes inflamed
- Fluid buildup around the heart
