Introduction to Duron 150mg Injection

Duron 150mg injection contains an active component of Amiodarone. It belongs to a class of drugs called antiarrhythmics. It is a medication commonly used to treat irregular heartbeats (arrhythmias). It is typically prescribed for treating ventricular arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats originating in the heart's lower chambers) and certain atrial arrhythmias (irregular heartbeats originating in the heart's upper chambers).  This medication can improve the overall quality of life for individuals with debilitating arrhythmias by reducing symptoms such as palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, and shortness of breath. It can also be used in individuals with various underlying heart conditions, including ischemic heart disease, dilated cardiomyopathy, and more.

Individuals with a known hypersensitivity to Duron 150mg injection or its components should avoid its use. It should not be used in individuals with severe sinus node dysfunction, advanced atrioventricular block, or bradycardia in patients without a pacemaker. It is generally not recommended to consume grapefruit juice while taking Duron 150mg injection. Individuals having thyroid dysfunction, a history of Duron 150mg injection-induced lung problems, iodine sensitivity, cardiogenic shock, or has a history of heart rhythm issues should avoid it. This medication should not be given to neonates, infants, and children up to 3 years. Always follow the guidance of a qualified healthcare provider before using this medication in old age.
