Jolclo 1gm injection exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. It belongs to the beta-lactam class of antibiotics and functions by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) on the bacterial cell wall. This disrupts the cross-linking of peptidoglycan strands, essential for the structural integrity of the bacterial cell wall. As a result, the bacterial cell wall weakens, leading to cell lysis and the eventual death of the bacteria. This medication is particularly effective against certain strains of Staphylococcus aureus bacteria that produce beta-lactamase, an enzyme that can inactivate other penicillin antibiotics.

Jolclo 1gm injection can be administered orally through tablets or capsules, with or without food, and intravenously for more severe infections. Serious:
