Introduction to Jolltrim 50ml Oral Suspension
Jolltrim 50ml Oral Suspension contains the active constituent Trimoxazole. It belongs to the class of medications called antibacterial and antifungal agents. It treats and prevents bacterial infections in children up to 12 years of age. It is also helpful in treating certain types of urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, middle ear infections, bronchitis, and pneumonia.
This drug is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity or allergic reactions to other sulfonamide medicines, such as sulfonylureas or thiazide diuretics. Your child should not take this medicine if they have a porphyria condition because this drug affects the skin or nervous system. Diarrhea is a common side effect associated with the use of antibiotics. If your child develops watery or bloody stools, it is recommended that you contact your physician immediately. Jolltrim 50ml Oral Suspension should not be given to infants during the first six weeks from the day they are born. This restriction is likely due to safety concerns or insufficient evidence regarding its use in young infants.
