Introduction to Koate-dvi 250iu Injection

Koate-DVI 250IU Injection contains active components as Anti-hemophilic factor. It is, also known as factor VIII, is a medication used to treat hemophilia A, a genetic bleeding disorder caused by a blood clotting factor deficiency. It can be used to treat acute bleeding episodes in people with hemophilia A. This includes episodes of spontaneous bleeding and bleeding resulting from injuries or surgeries.  People with hemophilia A may require surgery for various reasons, such as joint surgeries, dental procedures, or other medical interventions. It may be used before and after surgery to prevent excessive bleeding during and after the procedure.

Individuals with a known hypersensitivity or allergy to Koate-DVI 250IU Injection or any of its components should not use this medication. Allergic reactions to it can be severe and life-threatening. It should not be used to treat hemophilia B, which a deficiency of factor IX causes. There may be concerns about using it in individuals with severe kidney dysfunction or renal failure, as it can affect the clearance of the medication from the body. Dosing adjustments may be necessary in these cases. Individuals with pre-existing cardiovascular diseases, such as a history of heart attacks or thromboembolic events, may require careful monitoring and adjusted dosing when using Anti-hemophilic factors (human). It can be safe and effective for children and  older adults with hemophilia A. Always follow the healthcare provider's recommendations for these groups.

Uses of Koate-dvi 250iu Injection

Therapeutic Effects of Koate-dvi 250iu Injection

Thrombin, in turn, facilitates the conversion of fibrinogen into fibrin, leading to the formation of stable blood clots. This medication corrects the clotting cascade, allowing individuals with hemophilia A to form normal blood clots and effectively manage bleeding episodes or prevent them when used prophylactically.
