Doxorubicin inhibits the activity of the enzyme topoisomerase II, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. The unique formulation process of Lipodox 10mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.

1. Other Anticancer Drugs (e.g., cyclophosphamide, paclitaxel)
   May increase toxicity, especially bone marrow suppression and risk of infections.

2. Cardiotoxic Drugs (e.g., trastuzumab, calcium channel blockers)
   Can increase the risk of heart-related side effects, such as reduced heart function.

3. Liver-Affecting Medications (e.g., rifampicin)
   May alter Lipodox metabolism, affecting its effectiveness and safety.

4. Immunosuppressants (e.g., cyclosporine)
   Can further weaken the immune system, increasing the risk of infection.

5. Antibiotics (e.g., erythromycin)
   May interfere with drug metabolism and increase side effects.

6. Antifungal Medications (e.g., ketoconazole)
   Can raise drug levels in the body, leading to higher toxicity.

7. Herbal Supplements (e.g., St. John’s Wort)
   May reduce the injection's effectiveness or alter its activity.

8. Vaccines (especially live vaccines)
   Should be avoided as immunity may be reduced and risk of infection increased.

• Keep Lipodox 10mg Injection out of sight and reach of children.

• Store refrigerated at 2°C - 8°C. Do not freeze.

Your dose and frequency of administration will be decided by your physician based on your disease condition and other factors. It will be given to you by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. 

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. 

Serious:

• Fever, tiredness, bruising or bleeding

• Severe diarrhea, sores in mouth, nausea, vomiting

• Lung infections, shortness of breath

• Severe stomach pain

• Severe weakness

Common:

• Low blood cell counts

• Hair loss

• Decreased appetite

• Skin rashes

• Pain in the muscles and joints

• Constipation

• Feeling confused, difficulty sleeping

• Headache, dizziness, sleepiness

• Change in taste

• High or low blood pressure

• Excessive sweating

• Pain when passing urine

• Weight loss

• Muscle spasms

• Fast heartbeat

• Inform your doctor if you have any history of allergic reactions.

• Tell your doctor if you have diabetes.

• Inform your doctor about high or low blood pressure.

• Mention any kidney-related diseases.

• Inform your doctor if you have liver disorders.

• Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels is recommended during treatment.

• Blood pressure should be checked frequently while taking this medication.

• Liver and kidney function tests should be done regularly.

• Do not stop taking this medication without consulting your doctor.

• Avoid planning pregnancy or becoming pregnant during treatment, as it may harm the developing baby.

• Avoid driving or operating machinery after taking this medication, as it may cause dizziness and reduced concentration.
