Introduction to Mozosted 24mg Injection
Mozosted 24mg Injection is an antineoplastic drug containing an active ingredient called Plerixafor. It is used in collecting, storing, and transplanting blood stem cells for lymphoma (WBC cancer), multiple myeloma (plasma cell cancer in bone marrow), and solid tumor patients. These medicines improve the mobilization of the stem cell into the bloodstream.
Talk to your doctor if you have any heart or kidney disorders. Before starting the treatment, notify your doctor if you have high WBC counts, low platelet counts, or a history of lightheadedness or fainting.
Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to Mozosted 24mg Injection or any other medicine ingredients. Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. Report to your doctor immediately if you experience any adverse effects like rashes or swelling around your eyes, a change in breathing (lack of oxygen), or pain in the abdomen (upper left) or left shoulder.

- Lymphoma or solid tumors in children (aged between 1 to 18)
Therapeutic Effects of Mozosted 24mg Injection
Mozosted 24mg Injection works by blocking a protein called CXCR4 (chemokine receptor) on stem cells, which helps them move from the bone marrow into the bloodstream. By blocking CXCR4, Mozosted 24mg Injection causes the stem cells to be released into the bloodstream, where the stem cells can be collected and isolated using a machine (apheresis) and stored for transplantation.
