Introduction to Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg Injection is an anticancer medication containing the active constituent Pertuzumab. It is used to treat a type of breast cancer (HER2-positive breast cancer) in combination with other chemotherapy medications. Cancer is a condition in which cells multiply uncontrolled and abnormally.
Perjeta 420mg Injection is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Before taking this medicine, it is vital to inform your doctor if you have or have ever had heart problems or chemotherapy. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least six months after the last dose.
Inform your doctor if you have kidney disease before starting with this Pertuzumab injection. Patients with kidney disease should cautiously use this medicine. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines; you are taking before you start treatment with this medicine. Do not stop taking this medication without talking to your physician first. It is vital that you are given all the infusions which have been recommended.

Therapeutic Effects of Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg attaches itself to the specific target on the cancer cells known as human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2). This may destroy cancer cells or cause their growth to be delayed or stopped when it attaches to them.
Interaction of Perjeta 420mg Injection with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Perjeta 420mg and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

How to consume Perjeta 420mg Injection
Perjeta 420mg Injection is available as an injection and administered intravenously once every three weeks. Follow your physician's instructions. Your doctor will determine the frequency and dose of administration because it varies for each person depending on the disease condition. Don’t self-administer.

Inform your doctor in case you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are planning to get pregnant, as Perjeta 420mg injection may be unsafe during pregnancy.
It may be unsafe to take Perjeta 420mg Injection while breastfeeding. Consult your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medication.
Consult your doctor if you experience any symptoms like; shortness of breath or lung infection while taking Perjeta 420mg Injection.
Consult your doctor if you experience any liver disease while taking this Perjeta 420mg injection.
It is not known whether it is safe to consume alcohol with Perjeta 420mg injection. Please consult your doctor.
Perjeta 420mg injection may cause dizziness, infusion reaction, and other minor effects. So, avoid driving if you are unwell.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
- Severe or persistent diarrhea
- Low white blood cell count
- Infusion reactions (fever, chills, hot flushes, nausea, headache, joint, and muscle pain)
- Severe allergic reactions (swelling of throat and face, difficulty in breathing)
- Heart problems (cough, swelling in arms or legs, shortness of breath)
- Tumour lysis syndrome (confusion, tiredness, irregular heartbeat, seizures, tingling sensation)
- Hair loss
- Sore mouth
- Poor appetite
- Changes in taste
- Sleeping troubles
- Nose bleeds
- Nail problems
- Producing more tears
- Feeling dizzy
- Dry and itchy skin
- Ear, nose or throat infection

Perjeta 420mg can cause heart problems like heart failure, treatment for serious irregular heartbeats, and uncontrolled high blood pressure. So inform your doctor about your medical history before starting with the treatment. If you experience any symptoms mentioned above, consult your doctor immediately. While undergoing treatment, use effective contraception and continue it for six months after stopping treatment.
