Solu medrol 125mg Injection is a steroid medication containing the active constituent methylprednisolone. It is used to treat inflammatory or allergic conditions affecting the brain (caused by tumor or meningitis), lungs (caused by asthma, hypersensitivity, tuberculosis, or breathing in vomit or stomach contents), gut, and bowel (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis). It is also used to treat rheumatic, skin, eye, and endocrine disorders.
It is used for the palliative management of cancers (leukemia and lymphoma) and reduction of pain after surgery. In higher doses, methylprednisolone is used to treat flare-ups of symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Solu medrol 125mg Injection should not be used if you have a fungal infection, swelling of the brain due to malaria, traumatic brain injury or if you recently had vaccinated or about to have any vaccination.
You need to tell your doctor if you have any diseases, allergic conditions, and if you are being treated for any disorders. Your doctor may need to adjust the dose of the medicines during the treatment with Solu medrol 125mg Injection. Mental health problems can happen while taking this medicine. Talk to your doctor if you feel depressed.

Solu medrol 125mg Injection binds to glucocorticoid receptors and inhibits the production of substances (such as prostaglandins) that lead to inflammation and allergies.

How to use Solu medrol 125mg Injection:
It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse. Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking Solu medrol 125mg Injection.

Pregnancy:
Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking Solu medrol 125mg Injection, as it could slow the baby’s growth. It will be given to you if clearly needed.
Breastfeeding:
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking Solu medrol 125mg Injection.
Liver:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any liver disorders before taking Solu medrol 125mg Injection. Your doctor will monitor your liver condition before starting the treatment.
Kidney:
You need to tell your doctor if you have any kidney disorders before taking Solu medrol 125mg Injection. Your doctor will monitor your kidney condition before starting the treatment.
Driving:
Solu medrol 125mg Injection can cause dizziness, visual disturbances, and tiredness. Avoid driving if you are unwell.
Others:
Talk to your physician if:
- You recently got vaccinated or are about to have any vaccinations.
- You have any infections, brain disorders, or other diseases.
- You are about to have any surgery.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Allergic reactions (wheezing, swelling of face, difficulty breathing)
- Stomach pain spreading to your back, accompanied by vomiting and loss of consciousness
- Bleeding ulcers
- Infections
- Blood clots in the lung (chest pain, coughing up blood, breathlessness)
- Raised pressure within the skull (lack of energy, drowsiness)
- Blood clots in the leg vein
