SYNVISC ONE INJECTION
HYLAN POLYMER A&B G-F 20
Manufacturer : SANOFI INDIA LTDOrigin of Medicine : FranceIntroduction:
Synvisc One Injection consists of hylan polymers. It is indicated to treat pain and discomfort in osteoarthritis of the knee in patients who have not responded well to other treatments.
The joints contain synovial fluid that maintains viscosity and supports movements. Synvisc One 8mg/ml Injection temporarily replaces the synovial fluid in the knee to lubricate and cushion the joint. This would benefit patients who use the affected knee regularly.
Uses of Synvisc one Injection:
- Treatment of pain and discomfort associated with osteoarthritis of the knee, hip, shoulder and ankle.
How Synvisc one Injection Works:
Synvisc one knee Injection works by enabling a process called viscosupplementation. In viscosupplementation, the cartilage cells are protected from physical and chemical damage by restoring the physiological conditions of the tissues present in the joints. This, in turn, eases pain and discomfort and allows more extensive movement of the joints.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.
More Information:
Inject at room temperature. Store the injection between 2-30°C and do not freeze.
