Vinelbine 50mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication containing the active constituent Vinorelbine. It is used to treat breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. Cancer is a disorder in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under 18 years of age.
You need to inform your physician if you have any signs of infection (cough, fever, chills, or joint pain), chest pain, history of heart attack, or liver disorders before taking Vinelbine 50mg Injection. Many vaccines are not recommended during this treatment. Talk to your health care professional if you have recently received or are about to receive any vaccines.
Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least three months after the last dose. Make sure you inform your physician of all the medicines, including supplements and herbal medicines, you are taking before you start treatment with Vinelbine 50mg Injection. Discuss with your physician if have you have alcohol addiction before starting the treatment.

How Vinelbine 50mg Injection works:
Vinelbine 50mg Injection inhibits the microtubule structures within the cell. Microtubule structures help cancer cells to divide and multiply. Inhibition of these structures slows the growth of cancer cells.

Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

- Store in a refrigerator (2°C to 8°C).

Safety advice:
Pregnancy:
Vinelbine 50mg Injection is not recommended for pregnant patients. You need to tell your physician if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this medicine.
Breastfeeding:
This medication is not recommended for breastfeeding patients. You need to tell your physician if you are breastfeeding before taking Vinelbine 50mg Injection.
Liver:
You need to tell your physician if you have any liver disorders before taking Vinelbine 50mg Injection as this medication should be used with caution in liver disease patients.
Driving:
Vinelbine 50mg Injection may cause side effects that could impair your driving ability. Avoid driving if you are unwell.
Others:
Talk to your physician if
- You have any signs of infections (fever, chills, joint pain, or cough).
- You have recently received or are about to have any vaccinations.
- Have a history of heart attack or chest pain.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Severe allergic reactions (rash, difficulty in breathing, swelling of eyelids, lips, face, or throat)
- Severe chest pain
- Severe low blood pressure (severe dizziness, lightheadedness when you stand up)
- Severe constipation with abdominal pain
- Major infection (cough, fever, chills)
Common:
- Nausea, vomiting
- Low blood cell counts, weakness
- Hair loss
- Swelling or sores in the throat or mouth
- Injection site reactions (redness, burning pain, vein discoloration)
- Pain in the jaws, joints and muscles
- Tiredness
- Diarrhea
