Telmisartan, metoprolol, and cilnidipine is a combination medication and was approved for medical use which helps in controlling high blood pressure. It belongs to the class of antihypertensive drugs.

 Telmisartan, metoprolol, and cilnidipine are used for hypertension. This medication is recommended when single or dual therapy is not effective. It helps relax the blood vessels by making it easier for the heart to pump blood all over the body, and it lowers the risk of heart attack and stroke.

Telmisartan, metoprolol, and cilnidipine combination is available in oral dosage tablet form containing telmisartan 40 mg, cilnidipine 10 chew, crush succinate 23.75 mg. Your physician will decide the correct dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. It should be consumed as a whole not to chew,crush or bite.

Telmisartan, metoprolol, and cilnidipine can cause side effects like any other medicine. Sometimes it may cause some serious side effects that include swelling of ankles and feet, slow heart rate and hypotension and commonly, people may experience fever, increased potassium levels, tiredness, feeling sleepy, headaches, back pain, difficulty in breathing, stomach upset and nausea. 

Stopping this medication without proper advice will make the condition worse. It acts by lowering blood pressure and reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke, so don't stop this medication without the proper advice of a doctor.It may cause hypotension and renal impairment, clonidine may lead to severe hypotension and rebound hypertension if discontinued abruptly, and metoprolol may result in bradycardia and bronchospasm. Carefully monitor these side effects and report if you find any discomforts to your physician.

Before starting the Telmisartan, metoprolol, and cilnidipine therapy inform your doctor about any kidney or liver-related problems. If you are a breastfeeding mother or planning for pregnancy, you need to inform your doctor before starting this medication. While using this medication, blood pressure should be monitored regularly, and a kidney function test should be performed to note if there are any abnormal changes.

 It is suggested to tell your doctor if there is any history of allergic reactions to avoid life-threatening complications. As it causes an increase in potassium, avoid taking potassium content in diet and potassium supplements. Tell your doctor before the treatment commencement if you are pregnant or having liver, kidney, or uterine problems. While using this medication, blood pressure should be monitored regularly, and a kidney function test should be performed to note if there are any abnormal changes.
