This medication’s immunomodulatory effects could increase the risk of infections. It may cause a decrease in platelet counts (thrombocytopenia) in some patients. Patients with pre-existing autoimmune disorders should be closely monitored during treatment. The immunomodulatory effects of this medication may influence autoimmune conditions.
