Nefita Tablet consists of methylcobalamin, biotin and essential vitamins. It is composed of ascorbic acid 60mg, niacinamide 20mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride 20mg, folic acid 10mg, pantothenic acid 10mg, riboflavin 3mg, thiamine hydrochloride 2mg, methylcobalamin 1500mcg and biotin 300mcg.
It is indicated for nutritional supplementation for patients with kidney disease and those requiring dialysis since regular multivitamins are not suitable for them. This supplementation is not a substitute for a balanced diet. The dose of supplementation may vary according to your body’s requirements and condition.
Uses of Nefita Tablet:
Nefita Tablet is used in the treatment of:
- Wasting syndrome in chronic kidney disease
- Uremia
- Impaired metabolism in kidney
- Maintenance of levels when dietary intake of vitamins are inadequate
How Nefita Tablet works:
Thiamine promotes the release of energy from protein, fat and carbohydrate metabolism and enhances normal appetite and digestion.
Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) plays a significant part in energy metabolism and promotes the metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates.
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) enhances protein metabolism and helps maintain immune and nervous systems.
Vitamin B12 (Methylcobalamin) regulates the blood cells.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) maintains the health of cells, blood vessels and immunity.
Folic acid regulates the growth of cells and protein synthesis.
Biotin, the pantothenic acid content of this tablet is required for normal growth and development of the skin and hair. Biotin also enhances the nervous system.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Nefita Tablet:
Consume one tablet per day or as prescribed by the physician. Do not take more than the recommended dose.
Safety Advice:
Pregnancy:
Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant.
Breastfeeding:
Consult your physician for advice before breastfeeding during this treatment
Liver:
Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you have liver diseases.
Kidney:
Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you are undergoing dialysis.
Driving:
Avoid driving or using machinery if you experience side effects.
Allergies:
Inform your physician if you experience allergic reactions to methylcobalamin, essential vitamins, biotin or its ingredients.
Others:
- Do not take this tablet along with milk, milk products, calcium-containing foods or antacids.
- Inform your physician if you have pernicious anaemia.
- Inform your physician before taking this medicine if you are on a low salt diet or if you are already taking other multivitamin supplements.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
