Introduction to Rovustin 10mg Tablet

Rovustin 10mg Tablet contains the active constituent rosuvastatin and vitamin D3. It is a lipid-lowering agent. Rosuvastatin belongs to the class of medications called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors. It is used to treat high cholesterol and lowers the triglyceride levels in the blood. These drugs mainly help to reduce the risk of cardiac-related diseases.

Do not take Rovustin 10mg Tablet if you are allergic to rosuvastatin, vitamin D3, or any of the other ingredients. Do not take this medicine if you have severe kidney or liver diseases, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or have unexplained muscle aches or pains and high levels of Vitamin D3. Do not take this medicine if you are taking any combination of sofosbuvir/velpatasvir/voxilaprevir or ciclosporin.  

Inform your physician if you have severe liver diseases, kidney problems, respiratory diseases, and thyroid problems. Tell your physician about all the medicines you take, including nutritional supplements, before starting the treatment. This medicine is not recommended for children. Nausea, headache, stomach discomfort, dizziness, weakness, muscle soreness, or constipation may occur in certain people. Most of these Rovustin 10mg Tablet side effects are temporary and will go away on their own. Contact your doctor if the side effects continue for a longer period of time.

Therapeutic Effects of Rovustin 10mg Tablet

Rosuvastatin is a lipid-lowering agent. It successfully lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglyceride levels in the body by inhibiting the operations of an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which synthesizes cholesterol in the body. It also affects the liver, enhancing the body's ability to eliminate fat particles from circulation. Vitamin D in the form of cholecalciferol. It provides your body with enough vitamin D3, preventing vitamin D3 deficiency and related bone disorders. It also increases rosuvastatin's cholesterol-lowering activities and helps lessen muscle soreness and damage caused by rosuvastatin in the body.


Interaction of Rovustin 10mg Tablet with other drugs

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications like ciclosporin, an antiviral combination, can interact with Rovustin 10mg Tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.
