Calcium citrate+ Calcitriol+ Zinc belongs to the group of medications called nutritional supplements. It contains the active ingredient calcium citrate, calcitriol, and Zinc, primarily used to treat nutritional deficiencies. Calcium is essential for bone health that is used to treat and prevent a calcium deficiency and can be given for certain bone conditions such as osteoporosis. Calcitriol is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin D3 that aids in treating metabolic bone disease and calcium insufficiency.Â
Zinc promotes calcium transfer from the bloodstream into the bone, which helps maintain bone density. The symptoms likely associated with Calcium citrate+ Calcitriol+ Zinc are constipation, stomach upset, headache, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, weakness, fast heartbeat, muscle pain, and mood changes. Inform your doctor if any of these symptoms disturb you or persist. Inform your doctor if you experience hypersensitivity to calcium citrate, calcitriol, Zinc, or any of its ingredients.
Before treatment with this medication, let your physician know if you have kidney stones, hypervitaminosis D (high vitamin D levels), hypercalcemia (high calcium levels), malabsorption syndrome, heart, liver, or kidney disease.
