Introduction to Swelfre Solution

Swelfre solution contains an active ingredient called Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol. It belongs to the medication class known as non-steroid anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is used to relieve joint pain from arthritis. Arthritis refers to the enlargement and sensitivity of one or multiple joints, marked by joint pain and rigidity that tends to amplify as one grows older. Diclofenac works by inhibiting the release of specific chemical messengers in the brain responsible for pain and inflammation (resulting in redness and swelling). Methyl salicylate and Menthol, classified as topical analgesics or pain relievers, function through initial skin cooling followed by a subsequent warming sensation. This dual cooling and warming mechanism enhances blood circulation and distracts from pain perception.

Do not use Swelfre solution if you are allergic to Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Menthol, Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Naproxen, Celecoxib, other NSAIDs, or any of its ingredients in the medication. Before using this product, it is important to inform your doctor if you have any conditions such as asthma sensitive to aspirin (a past experience of breathing difficulties along with nasal symptoms after aspirin or NSAIDs intake), liver condition, or gastrointestinal issues (including bleeding or ulcers). Notify your doctor if you have or had heart conditions, kidney conditions, hypertension, a history of stroke, edema or fluid retention, blood irregularities (like anemia), clotting or bleeding disorders, and nasal polyps. This medication could potentially lead to stomach bleeding. It's important to note that consuming alcohol and using tobacco daily while on this medication may increase the risk of stomach bleeding. To reduce this risk, it is advisable to moderate alcohol intake and cease smoking.
