It is used to treat:

• Non-small cell lung cancer
• Breast cancer
• Stomach or gastric cancer
• Prostate cancer
• Head and neck cancer

Acodocet 80mg Injection contains Docetaxel, which is a microtubule inhibitor. Microtubules are cellular structures that help cancer cells grow and divide. This medicine blocks their function, stopping the cancer cells from multiplying and causing them to die.

Inform your doctor about all medications, supplements, or herbal products you are taking. Acodocet may interact with:

• Pegfilgrastim, Sargramostim, Molgramostim (granulocyte colony-stimulating factors)

• Live vaccines – Avoid during and after treatment unless advised

• Natalizumab – Increased risk of infections

• Certain antibiotics and antifungals, seizure medications, and immunosuppressants

• Keep Acodocet Injection out of sight and reach of children.
• Store between 15°C - 25°C.
• Protect from light

Acodocet 80mg Injection is administered intravenously (into a vein) by a healthcare provider. The dose and treatment duration will be decided by your doctor based on the type of cancer, your body surface area, and overall health. Do not self-administer this medication under any circumstances.

Like all chemotherapy medicines, Acodocet may cause some side effects. While not everyone gets them, it's important to be aware of possible reactions:

Common side effects:

• Low white blood cell count (increased risk of infections)

• Hair loss

• Fatigue or weakness

• Loss of appetite

• Nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea

• Constipation

• Headache or dizziness

• Joint and muscle pain

• Changes in taste

• Nail discoloration or changes

• Swelling (edema)

• Mouth sores or dry mouth

Serious side effects (seek immediate medical help):

• High fever or persistent sore throat

• Severe allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling)

• Shortness of breath or chest discomfort

• Signs of fluid retention (sudden weight gain, leg swelling)

• Vision changes or eye irritation

• Stomach pain, tenderness, or persistent diarrhea

• Always receive Acodocet 80mg Injection in a medical setting under supervision.

• You may be given corticosteroids before treatment to help reduce side effects such as allergic reactions or fluid retention.

• Regular blood tests will be done to monitor your white blood cell count and liver function during treatment.

• Avoid crowded places or contact with people who are sick, as this medicine may lower your immunity.

• Both men and women should use reliable birth control during treatment and for at least 6 months after the last dose.

• Do not take vaccinations without asking your doctor, especially live vaccines.
