Adcetris 50mg Injection is an anticancer medication that contains Brentuximab vedotin, a type of CD30-directed monoclonal antibody–drug conjugate (ADC). It is primarily used to treat classical Hodgkin lymphoma, systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (sALCL), and cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL). It may be used as a first-line treatment or when other treatments have not been effective.

Adcetris targets a protein called CD30 on cancer cells and delivers a chemotherapy agent (monomethyl auristatin E) directly into them. This targeted approach helps destroy cancer cells while minimising damage to healthy cells.

This medicine is given intravenously by a doctor or nurse in a hospital setting. Do not self-administer. The dosage and treatment duration are determined by your doctor based on your condition, body weight, and response to therapy.

• Treatment of classical Hodgkin lymphoma

• Treatment of systemic anaplastic large cell lymphoma (sALCL)

• Treatment of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (CTCL)

Adcetris 50mg Injection consists of a monoclonal antibody that binds to CD30, a protein found on some cancer cells. Once attached, it delivers a cell-killing agent (MMAE) directly into the cancer cell, leading to its destruction. This reduces damage to nearby healthy cells and enhances treatment effectiveness.

• Inform your doctor if you have or had liver, kidney, lung, or heart disease.

• Notify if you're taking any other prescription, OTC, or herbal medications.

• Avoid live vaccines during treatment.

• Men should not father a child during treatment and for 6 months after the last dose.

• Women should avoid pregnancy for at least 6 months after the last injection.

Adcetris may interact with the following drugs:

• Amiodarone

• Atazanavir

• Azithromycin

• Anticonvulsants

• Digoxin

• Thiazide diuretics

• Cholestyramine

• Certain antacids

Always inform your doctor about all ongoing medications to avoid interactions.

• Store Adcetris 50mg Injectionvedot in in a refrigerator (2 °C - 8 °C).
• Do not freeze.

Adcetris is administered as an IV infusion by a healthcare professional. The treatment is given in cycles, usually once every three weeks. Your doctor may perform regular blood tests to monitor your response and manage any side effects.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Common Side Effects:

• Peripheral neuropathy (tingling, numbness)

• Fatigue

• Nausea

• Diarrhea

• Constipation

• Vomiting

• Fever

• Decreased white blood cell count

• Hair loss

• Weight loss

• Abdominal pain

• Anemia

• Upper respiratory tract infections

• Mouth ulcers (stomatitis)

• Muscle pain

• Itching

Serious Side Effects:

• Infusion-related reactions (fever, rash, shortness of breath, chills)

• Allergic reactions

• Inflammation of the pancreas

• Memory loss or confusion

• Blurred vision or difficulty walking

• Unusual bleeding or bruising

• Liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine)

• Adcetris is a targeted therapy—report numbness, tingling, or muscle weakness immediately.

• Contact your doctor if you develop a fever over 100.5°F, cough, chills, or difficulty urinating.

• Infusion reactions can occur within 24 hours—seek help for breathing difficulty or rash.

• Report signs of liver injury like yellow skin, fatigue, or dark urine.

• Regular blood monitoring is essential to detect low blood counts or liver function abnormalities.
