Anfoe 10000IU injection is used in the following:

• Anaemia due to Chronic kidney disease (CKD)

• Anaemia due to Cancer chemotherapy

• Anaemia due to HIV infection treatment with zidovudine

Anfoe 10000IU injection works by stimulating the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells. Red blood cells carry oxygen to the body's tissues, so increasing their number can help treat anaemia.

Taking Anfoe 10000 IU Injection (erythropoietin) with any of the following medicines can change the effects of either medicine and may increase the risk of side effects.

Cyclosporine (Oral/Injection Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
Erythropoietin may increase red blood cell levels, altering cyclosporine distribution in the blood. Dose adjustment and monitoring may be required.

Antihypertensive medicines (Oral Route) Moderate
Use under medical supervision.
Erythropoietin may raise blood pressure, reducing the effectiveness of blood pressure medicines.

Iron supplements (Oral/Injection Route) Mild
Use as advised.
Iron is often required for optimal response, but dosing should be monitored to avoid excess iron levels.

Other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (Injection Route) Moderate
Do not use together unless prescribed.
Concomitant use may increase the risk of excessive red blood cell production and related complications such as blood clots.

Anticoagulants such as Warfarin (Oral Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
Increased red blood cell count may affect clotting balance and require monitoring of anticoagulant therapy.

• Should be stored at room temperature, between 2°C to 8°C

• Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.

• It should not be frozen.

• Keep away from children and pets.

Anfoe 10000 IU is injected subcutaneously, meaning it is injected under the skin. It is usually given in the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm.

Anfoe 10000IU injection causes some side effects like all medications, although not everyone will experience them. 

Serious

• Blood clots

• Stroke

• Heart attack

• Death

• High blood pressure

• Seizures

• Tumor growth

• Allergic reactions

• Kidney problems

• Liver problems

• Bone marrow problems

Common

• Headache

• Nausea

• Vomiting

• Diarrhea

• Muscle cramps

• Pain at the injection site

• Redness, swelling, or itching at the injection site

• Fatigue

• Dizziness

• Chills

• Fever

• Inform your doctor about all your medical conditions, including high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, liver disease, cancer, or a history of blood clots.

• Monitor your blood pressure regularly during treatment.

• Get regular blood tests to check red blood cell count and other blood levels.

• Do not self-inject this medicine; it should only be given by a doctor or nurse.

• Report any side effects to your doctor immediately.

• Be cautious when standing up from sitting or lying positions to avoid dizziness.

• Drink plenty of fluids to reduce the risk of dehydration and blood clots.

• Consult your doctor if you have any concerns about the treatment.
