Introduction to Arkapres 100mg Tablet

Arkapres 100mg tablet contains the active substance clonidine hydrochloride. It belongs to the class of medications called centrally-acting alpha 2 agonists. It is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. It is also used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children. It also prevents migraines and hot flashes in women during menopause. 

Do not take clonidine if you are allergic to Arkapres 100mg tablet or any of the other ingredients. Do not stop taking this medicine without consulting your doctor. Inform your physician if you have an irregular heartbeat, heart failure, or any other heart problems. Tell your doctor if you had a stroke attack. Inform your physician if you have mental depression, diabetes, constipation, nerve damage, and kidney problems.  

Inform your physician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to get pregnant before initiating the treatment. The most common side effects of Arkapres 100mg tablet are drowsiness, dryness of the mouth, lightheadedness, blurred vision, and confusion. Inform your doctor if these side effects affect you for the longer term.

Certain medications may interact with Arkapres 100mg tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.
