Introduction to Bderlo 150mg Tablet

Bderlo 150mg Tablet is an anticancer medicine containing the active constituent erlotinib. It treats non-small lung cancer (NSCLC) and pancreatic cancer. Cancer is a disorder in which cells multiply in an uncontrolled and abnormal manner. It is usually given in combination with other anticancer medicine, gemcitabine, for patients with metastatic or advanced pancreatic cancers.

Patients need to inform the doctor about the use of contact lenses, any intolerance to sugars, history of eye problems, clotting disorders, or if you take medicines for clotting disorders or cholesterol. Bderlo 150mg Tablet is not recommended for adolescents and children under the age of 18. Do not take this medication with food. Use effective birth control during the treatment and for at least 2 weeks after the last dose. 

Patients are advised not to smoke while being treated with Bderlo 150mg Tablet, as smoking may decrease the amount of medicine in the blood. Wear protective clothing and sunscreen while going outside. Inform the physician if patients develop pain in the eye, blurred vision, cough, fever, shortness of breath, severe abdominal pain, and persistent diarrhea while taking this medicine.

Therapeutic Effects of Bderlo 150mg Tablet

Bderlo 150mg Tablet prevents the activity of a protein called epidermal growth factor receptor (EFGR), a protein involved in the spread and growth of cancer cells.
 


Interaction of Bderlo 150mg Tablet with other drugs

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Bderlo 150 mg tablet and cause undesirable side effects.

Keep out of sight and reach of children. Store at a controlled room temperature between 15°C to 30°C. Do not freeze.


How to consume Bderlo 150mg Tablet

Always take this medicine as prescribed by the doctor. The tablet must be taken at least one hour before or two hours after taking food. Contact the doctor if the patient  missed the dose or took more.

Side Effects of Bderlo 150mg Tablet

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them. 

Serious:

  • Persistent or severe diarrhea
  • Pain in the eye, blurred vision
  • Sudden difficulty in breathing accompanied by cough and fever
  • Severe pain in your abdomen
  • Liver failure

  • Loss of appetite decreased weight
  • Infection

Inform the doctor if the patient has vision problems, use of contact lenses, clotting disorders, intolerance to sugar, and medication are taken for cholesterol before starting this medication. This medication should not be taken along with the food, and it can be taken either before or after food as it increases the effectiveness of the medication. It is not recommended for individuals below 18 years of age. Inform the doctor about kidney and liver disorders, as this medication is not recommended in patients with kidney and liver disorders. Avoid making plans to have children or during pregnancy because this medicine is highly unsafe and causes harmful effects on the developing baby.
