Introduction

The Biovac A Vaccine is an antiviral drug belonging to the class of inactivated vaccines containing the active ingredient of the Hepatitis A virus. It can be mainly used to prevent Hepatitis A virus infection, which is a liver inflammation that can cause mild to severe infection in patients. This vaccine helps to protect against Hepatitis A infection in people 16 years of age and older.

Consult your doctor if you have a fever or infection before using Biovac Vaccine. If you or your child are scheduled to receive multiple vaccines, it's always a good idea to discuss the vaccination plan with your healthcare provider. Inform your doctor if you have kidney problems or a history of Hepatitis viral infection before using the medication. Individuals with a known severe allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to a previous dose of this vaccine or any of its components should not receive the vaccine. It's important to inform your healthcare provider about any allergies or previous adverse reactions before getting vaccinated. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant or while you are breastfeeding. Speak with your doctor if you are below 16 year of age before using the Biovac vaccine. Biovac A Vaccine price varies by retailer and location. You can buy Biovac A Vaccine online at MrMed at Affordable Prices.

Uses

Biovac A Vaccine uses are:

  • Prevention from Hepatitis A virus infection.

How Biovac A Vaccine Works

Inj Biovac works by neutralizing the HAV particles, and the antibodies prevent the virus from infecting hepatocytes in the liver. This vaccine prevents the virus replication within the liver cells and the subsequent liver damage that can occur during an active Hepatitis A infection.

Interaction of Biovac A Vaccine with other drugs

  1. Immunosuppressants (Severe)
Medicines such as high-dose steroids, ciclosporin, or tacrolimus may reduce the immune response to Biovac A. Inform your doctor if you are on these treatments before vaccination.

  2. Chemotherapy Medicines (Severe)
Ongoing chemotherapy can weaken the immune system and reduce vaccine effectiveness. Take only under oncologist guidance.

  3. Biologic Immunomodulators (Severe)
Drugs like rituximab or infliximab may blunt the vaccine response. Your doctor may advise adjusting the vaccination schedule.

  4. Anticoagulants (Moderate)
Medicines such as warfarin may increase the risk of bleeding or bruising at the injection site. Inform your doctor for monitoring if needed.

  5. Antiviral Medicines for Hepatitis A (Moderate)
Certain antivirals may reduce vaccine effectiveness. Use together only if advised by your healthcare provider.

Storage Conditions

  • Store the Biovac A Vaccine in a refrigerator between (2°C-8°C).

  • Keep away from moisture, heat, and light.

  • It should not be frozen.

How to Use Biovac A Vaccine

It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinical setting. It is given as an intramuscular Vaccine (into the muscle). Do not self-administer the Vaccine. Your doctor will decide the Biovac A Vaccine dosage and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity, body weight, and other factors. The vaccine is typically given in three doses for infants, with the first dose administered at birth or shortly after that and the second and third doses given at 1-2 months and six months of age according to the biovac a vaccine dose schedule.
