Briv 50mg Injection consists of the active ingredient Brivaracetam. It is indicated to treat a type of epilepsy that is characterized by partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization.
Partial onset seizures are also called Focal onset seizures. They initially affect only one part of the brain that gradually spreads to larger areas of the brain. As the seizure spreads to other half of the brain, it results in a condition called secondary generalized seizures.
Contact your healthcare provider right away if you experience depression, suicidal thoughts or any other undesirable effects after receiving this injection. Do not stop this medication without consulting your physician.
Uses of Briv 50mg Injection:
- Treatment of partial onset seizures with or without secondary generalization.
How Briv 50mg Injection works:
Briv 50mg Injection selectively binds to a protein called synaptic vesicle protein 2A in the brain and interrupts nerve signals to reduce the frequency at which the seizures occur.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your physician regarding any medicines you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Briv 50mg Injection:
Your physician will inject this medicine into your vein over 15 minutes.
Safety Advice:
Pregnancy:
Before you take this medicine, tell your physician if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or planning to have a baby.
Breastfeeding:
This medicine is not recommended if you are breastfeeding. Tell your physician before starting this treatment if you are breastfeeding or planning to breastfeed your baby.
Liver:
Tell your physician before taking this medicine if you have liver problems. Your physician will adjust the dose of this medicine.
Kidney:
Tell your physician before receiving this injection if you have kidney problems.
Driving:
This medicine could hinder your ability to drive. Do not drive or operate tools if you feel dizzy, tired or sleepy.
Others:
- Before taking this medicine, inform your physician if you are allergic to Brivaracetam or its ingredients.
- This injection is not intended for use in children aged below 4 years.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
