Introduction
Cabotres 40mg tablet is an antineoplastic drug with an active ingredient called Cabozantinib. It belongs to the medication class known as tyrosine kinase inhibitors. In adults, it is used to treat advanced kidney cancer and locally advanced or metastatic differentiated thyroid cancer. It is also used in treating liver cancer when Sorafenib (anticancer medicine) is no longer working. Usually, this medicine is given in combination with Nivolumab for advanced kidney cancer. It is not recommended for those younger than 18 years. Ā
Do not consume Cabotres 40mg if you are allergic to Cabozantinib and its other ingredients. Inform your physician if you have liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, high blood pressure, heart disease, or diarrhea. Notify your doctor about the history of blood clots in the leg, significant bleeding, aneurysm (inflammation of blood vessels), or tears in the blood vessel wall. Inform your physician if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant. Use effective contraception during and even after the treatment or four months. How Cabotres 40mg Tablet Works
It acts against a protein called receptor tyrosine kinases and interferes with cell signaling, ultimately stopping the growth and spread of cancer cells. Cabotres 40mg is indicated alone or in combination with Nivolumab.
Interaction of Cabotres 40mg Tablet with other drugs
Taking Cabotres 40mg Tablet (cabozantinib) with any of the following medicines can change the effect of either of them and may increase the risk of serious side effects.
Ketoconazole, Itraconazole, Clarithromycin (Oral Route) Life-threatening
Do not use together.
These strong CYP3A4 inhibitors may increase cabozantinib levels in the blood and raise the risk of severe side effects such as liver problems, bleeding, or high blood pressure.Rifampicin (Oral Route) Life-threatening
Avoid using together.
Rifampicin may reduce cabozantinib levels and decrease its anticancer effectiveness.Carbamazepine, Phenytoin, Phenobarbital (Oral Route) Life-threatening
Do not use together.
These medicines may lower cabozantinib levels and reduce treatment response.St Johnās Wort (Herbal Route) Life-threatening
Avoid concomitant use.
This herbal product may significantly reduce cabozantinib levels and lead to treatment failure.Warfarin or other anticoagulants (Oral Route) Moderate
Use with caution.
Concomitant use may increase the risk of bleeding. Close monitoring is required.

How to consume Cabotres 40mg Tablet
Take Cabotres 40mg as advised by your physician. Usually, this medicine will be given once a day. Do not crush, chew, or open the medicine. Your physician will decide the correct cabotres 40mg dosage and duration based on age, body weight, and disease condition. Only stop taking this medicine if your doctor advises you to stop.

Taking Cabotres 40mg while breastfeeding may be unsafe because it may affect the child. Do not breastfeed for at least four months after the treatment. Therefore, talk with your doctor to get more information.Ā

Liver
