Creon SD Granules contain the active constituent pancreatin. It is a combination of enzymes usually produced by the pancreas that helps digest fat, starch, protein, and sugars in the food you eat. Creon SD Granules treat pancreatic enzyme deficiency and aid digestion. It is used in people who do not have sufficient enzymes to digest the food to aid digestion, in certain health conditions such as persistent inflammation of the pancreas, cystic fibrosis, or those who had their pancreas removed.
It may also be given to people who had their stomach removed. It is very vital to inform the health care provider if you have any allergies, intolerance to some sugars, or other diseases. Report to the physician if you experience any allergic reactions such as breathlessness, wheezing, rash, or swelling of lips, face, or eyelids while taking Creon SD Granules.
When chewed or kept in the mouth, it may cause irritation in the mouth. This medication may also cause irritation of the anus that can be prevented by using a barrier cream. Check with the doctor if you have any irritation.

Take Creon SD Granules in dose and duration as prescribed by the physician. If you need to mix the granules with food or liquids, use them within an hour.
