Decmax 8mg Injection is a synthetic adrenocortical steroid with potent anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems. They inhibit multiple inflammatory proteins resulting in decreased swelling, redness, and pain. It also induces cell death of multiple cancer cells.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, vaccines, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Decmax 8mg Injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. Inform your physician if you had the rotavirus vaccine before the treatment. 

• Store Decmax 8mg Injection in the original package at room temperature ( Do not exceed 25°C)
• Do not freeze
• Keep away from children and pets
• If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. However, if it is nearly time for the next dose, skip the missed dose.

Your doctor will decide the dose, route of administration, and frequency of the medicine. The injection will be given to you by your doctor or nurse. Decmax 8mg injection is administered intravenously (into your vein) or intramuscularly (into your muscle), depending on your disease condition. It can sometimes also be given by injection under the skin (subcutaneously) to relieve certain symptoms, including pain, tiredness, weight loss, and feeling and being sick.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

• Inflammation in heart muscles
• Inflammation of pancreas
• Glaucoma
• Increased blood sugar levels
• Decreased potassium levels

Inform your physician if you have any changes in your vision and facing difficulty in driving or operating machinery. If you are on long-term treatment with Decmax 8mg Injection, avoid getting vaccinations because this may interact with the medicine. Avoid exposure to chicken pox or measles. Avoid pregnancy during the treatment. Use effective birth control methods to avoid pregnancy during the treatment and for at least 1 month after your last dose. Do not breastfeed for at least 2 weeks after your last dose.
