Docelieva 80mg Injection works by binding to a protein called beta-tubulin, which helps cells grow and divide. By doing this, it stops cancer cells from dividing properly and prevents the formation of structures needed for cell division. Additionally, Docelieva 80mg Injection reduces the activity of a gene called BCL2, which usually helps cancer cells survive. By lowering this gene's activity, the treatment helps cancer cells become more sensitive to natural cell death processes, making it easier for the body to fight against the cancer.

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Docelieva 80mg Injection and cause undesirable side effects.

• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date.

It will be administered through an intravenous infusion directly into one of your veins by a healthcare professional. Your doctor will decide the suitable dose of Docelieva 80mg Injection injection for you based on your weight and overall health.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious:

• Severe allergic reactions
• Severe fluid retention
• Severe skin problems
• Swelling of the small intestine and colon

Common:

• Headache, dizziness
• Risk of infections
• Low blood cell count
• Loss of appetite
• Trouble sleeping
• Joint or muscle pain
• Alteration in the sense of taste
• Eye problems, bleeding from the nose
• Nausea, vomiting
• Diarrhea, constipation
• Abdominal pain
• Hair loss, change in color of your nails
• Change or absence of menstrual period
• Weight loss
• Tiredness
• Dry mouth
• High blood sugar
• Decreased blood pressure, rapid heartbeat

Women of reproductive age must use effective contraception during and for six months after therapy. Male patients receiving this injection treatment should avoid fathering children and use reliable contraception for six months following the treatment. A decrease in white blood cell count is the most common side effect of Docelieva 80mg Injection. If your white blood cell count becomes low, you are at a higher risk of getting an infection. However, these levels usually return to normal before your next treatment. A blood test will be conducted before your treatment. If your white blood cell count is low, your doctor may postpone your treatment for a short period until your cell count increases. You might receive a supportive drug to stimulate your body to produce more white blood cells. 

Following the Docelieva 80mg Injection infusion, you will be carefully monitored for reactions and side effects. Supportive care will help you manage and overcome these side effects. On your chemotherapy day, it is recommended that you eat lightly. Consuming small portions slowly and regularly every few hours works best. Avoid skipping meals and stay away from fatty, greasy, or spicy foods on these days. Do not hesitate to ask questions or share any concerns with your doctor.
