Dotamin 250mg injection contains an active component called Dobutamine. It is an inotropic agent (a medicine that changes the force of your heart's contractions). It makes your heart function more efficiently by enhancing its pumping motion, increasing blood flow throughout the body, and enlarging your veins and arteries. It raises cardiac output in patients with impaired cardiac function to a comparable extent.Â
Dotamin 250mg injection administration should be accompanied by ongoing ECG and blood pressure monitoring. Additionally, pulmonary wedge pressure and cardiac output should be tracked whenever possible to help with the secure and efficient infusion of the medicine in patients. Patients with abnormal thickening of the left ventricle (idiopathic hypertrophic subaortic stenosis) and hypersensitive to the drug may inform the doctor before administering the medicine. Pregnant, breastfeeding women and patients sensitive to the medicine should inform their doctor before using it.
