Introduction to Doxorex 10mg Injection
Doxorex 10mg Injection is a chemotherapy drug containing the active constituent doxorubicin. It belongs to the medication class known as cytotoxic agents. It treats many types of cancers, such as lung, breast, blood, bladder, stomach, etc. It may be given alone or in combination with other anticancer medicines. Cancer is a condition in which cells multiply uncontrolled and abnormally.
Before starting treatment with Doxorex 10mg Injection, it is very important to tell your physician if you have or had any history of severe heart disorders, liver disorders, and hypersensitivity.
Notify your doctor if you are taking or have ever received certain cancer chemotherapy medications. Avoid live vaccines during the treatment.
Do not take this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding because this may cause harm to the unborn baby, and use effective birth control during the treatment with this medication.
Doxorex 10mg Injection may reduce fertility temporarily in men. So, it is advised to get suggestions about fertility concerns from your doctor. Therapeutic Effects of Doxorex 10mg Injection
Doxorex 10mg Injection works by interfering with the DNA in cancer cells by inserting itself into the DNA strands, which disrupts the normal structure of the DNA. This causes the DNA to break apart, leading to cell death. Additionally, Doxorex 10mg Injection can also cause damage to the membranes surrounding the cell's nucleus, which further contributes to cell death.
Interaction of Doxorex 10mg Injection with other drugs
Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications such as Trastuzumab, Verapamil, Phenobarbital, Phenytoin, Cyclosporine, Sorafenib, and Paclitaxel may interact with Doxorex 10mg Injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.
