Doxorex PL 2mg Injection is used in the treatment of the following:

• Breast cancer
• Ovarian cancer
• Multiple myeloma
• AIDS-related Kaposi’s sarcoma

Doxorex PL 2mg Injection inhibits the enzyme topoisomerase II activity, which is involved in the DNA (genetic material) multiplication of cancer cells. This prevents the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. 

The unique formulation process of Doxorex PL 2mg Injection increases the time this medicine is circulating in the blood. It also helps deliver drugs from blood to the cancerous tissue rather than the healthy tissue.

Inform your doctor about any medications you take or have taken before the treatment, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Doxorex PL 2mg Injection and can cause undesirable side effects. 

• Keep Doxorex PL 2mg Injection out of sight and reach of children.
• Store refrigerated at 2°C - 8°C. Do not freeze.
• Protect the medicine from light and excessive moisture.
• Keep the medicine out of reach of children and pets
• If you forgot to take the injection, inform your healthcare professional immediately and reschedule the appointment.

A health care professional will give it to you. Your physician will decide your dose and frequency of administration based on your disease condition and other factors. Do not self-administer. 

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious side effects of Doxorex PL 2mg Injection are:

• Fever, tiredness, bruising or bleeding
• Severe diarrhoea, sores in the mouth, nausea, vomiting
• Lung infections, shortness of breath
• Severe stomach pain
• Severe weakness

Common side effects of Doxorex PL 2mg Injection are:

• Low blood cell counts
• Hair loss
• Decreased appetite
• Skin rashes
• Pain in the muscles and joints
• Constipation
• Feeling confused, difficulty sleeping
• Headache, dizziness, sleepiness
• Change in taste
• High or low blood pressure
• Excessive sweating
• Pain when passing urine
• Weight loss
• Muscle spasms
• Fast heartbeat

Inform the doctor if the patient has allergic reactions, diabetes, blood pressure, kidney, liver diseases before taking this medication. Blood glucose levels, blood pressure, and liver and kidney function should be monitored regularly while taking this medication. Don't stop this medication without the proper advice of the doctor. Avoid making plans for pregnancy or during pregnancy, as this medication can cause harmful effects on the developing baby. Avoid driving after taking this medication because it causes dizziness and lack of concentration.
