Eribulin stops the growth and spread of cancer cells, specifically targeting the growth phase of microtubules, which are structures that help cells divide. It prevents them from growing without interfering with their shrinking phase. Additionally, it causes tubulin, a protein essential for cell division, to clump together in a way that disrupts cell division. This ultimately leads to the blockage of the cell cycle (G2/M phase), disrupting the formation of structures necessary for cell division (mitotic spindles) and triggering cell death through apoptosis.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Ebunat 0.5mg Injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. 

• Store Ebunat 0.5mg Injection in the original package at room temperature (25°C). Do not freeze.
• Keep it out of reach from children and pets.
• It is important to get the dose at the scheduled time. If you missed the schedule, contact your doctor and reschedule the dose.

Ebunat 0.5mg Injection will be given to you by your healthcare provider. It is injected directly into a vein (intravenous infusion) in a cycle. Your healthcare provider determines the dose, duration, and frequency based on your age, body weight, and severity of your condition. If you forget or miss your Ebunat 0.5mg Injection cycle dose, make another appointment as soon as possible. Do not wait until your next planned visit. Do not stop the treatment without physician advice.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms that occur due to medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Serious

• Sepsis (severe infection)
• Severe allergic reaction
• Serious skin conditions (Stevens-Johnson syndrome)

Common

• Decrease in the number of white blood cells or red blood cells
• Tiredness or weakness
• Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea
• Numbness, tingling or prickling sensations
• Fever
• Loss of appetite, weight loss
• Difficulty breathing, cough
• Pain in the joints, muscles, and back
• Headache
• Hair loss

Your doctor will monitor your liver function via blood tests and assess your heart function before and during treatment. If you are a woman who could become pregnant, ensure reliable birth control while taking Ebunat 0.5mg Injection and for at least three months after stopping it. Consult your doctor for guidance on alternative contraception methods to avoid pregnancy during this treatment. Talk to your oncologist if you need dental treatment. Always tell your dentist you are having cancer treatment. This treatment can affect fertility in men and women. If you are worried about this, it is important to talk with your doctor before you start treatment.

If you experience diarrhea while taking Ebunat 0.5mg Injection, try to drink at least 2 liters of fluids daily and avoid alcohol, caffeine, milk products, and high-fat and high-fiber foods. If constipation occurs, increase your fluid intake, consume high-fiber foods, and engage in regular gentle exercise. Contact the hospital for advice; your doctor may prescribe laxatives to help constipation. If you notice a loss of appetite, don't worry if it lasts for a day or two, but if it persists or if you're losing weight, inform your nurse or dietitian for guidance. They may recommend supplements, dietary changes, or adjustments to eating habits to address these issues.
