Introduction
Epizee 10mg injection contains the active ingredient Epirubicin Hydrochloride, an antineoplastic medicine from the anthracycline class. How Epizee works is by interfering with the growth and spread of cancer cells, ultimately destroying them. Epizee cancer treatment is commonly prescribed as part of Epizee injection combination therapy with other drugs to treat breast cancer in patients who have undergone surgery to remove the tumor. Epizee for bladder cancer is prescribed as part of chemotherapy treatment to help destroy cancer cells within the bladder.
Epizee contraindications include allergy to epirubicin or any of its ingredients, pregnancy, breastfeeding, severe liver problems, and serious bladder conditions. Caution is advised in patients with kidney or liver issues, recent vaccinations, acute inflammation of the mouth, low white blood cell or platelet counts, or ongoing infections. This medication may also increase the risk of blood clots.
If you are planning pregnancy, be aware that this medicine can cause infertility in both men and women. Effective birth control should be used during treatment.
Epizee side effects may include low WBC count, low platelet count, irregular menstruation, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, eye infection, skin rash, and itching. Your doctor will perform regular blood tests to monitor the effects of this medicine.
The Epizee injection price India varies by location, brand availability, and healthcare facility. It is widely available in oncology centers and specialized pharmacies.
