The Exhep PEN Reusable works by delivering a precise, doctor-prescribed dose of Enoxaparin just under your skin (subcutaneous injection). Once the Exhep cartridge is loaded, you can:

• Set and deliver the correct dose

• Inject safely at home, usually in the abdomen

• Reduce the risk of dosing errors

This helps maintain steady anticoagulant levels in your body, which is essential for preventing blood clot formation and complications like stroke or pulmonary embolism.

The pen device itself does not interact with medications, but the medicine used with it, Enoxaparin, may have drug interactions. Let your doctor know if you're taking:

• Aspirin or other NSAIDs

• Blood thinners (e.g., warfarin, dabigatran)

• Antiplatelet agents (e.g., clopidogrel)

• Herbal supplements like garlic, ginkgo, or ginseng

These can increase the risk of bleeding when combined with Enoxaparin. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting any new medicine or supplement.

• Store the empty pen device at room temperature in a clean, dry place.

• Once the cartridge is loaded, follow the storage instructions mentioned on the Exhep cartridge pack.

• Do not freeze the cartridge or pen.

• Keep away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight.

• Always remove the needle after use and store the pen without a needle.

• Keep the device out of reach of children and pets.

1. Wash your hands before handling the pen.

2. Insert the Exhep (Enoxaparin) cartridge into the pen device as instructed in the user manual.

3. Attach a new sterile needle before every injection.

4. Set the prescribed dose using the pen dial.

5. Inject under the skin, usually in the abdomen, while following proper injection technique.

6. Remove and dispose of the needle in a sharps container.

7. Store the pen as per the cartridge’s storage requirements.

Ask your healthcare provider to demonstrate proper use before starting injections on your own.

The pen device itself doesn’t cause side effects, but Enoxaparin, the medication it delivers, may cause:

Common Side Effects:

• Mild pain, redness, or bruising at the injection site

• Nausea

• Mild swelling

Serious Side Effects:

• Unusual bleeding (from gums, urine, stool, etc.)

• Severe bruising or purple patches

• Low platelet count (thrombocytopenia)

• Spinal/epidural hematomas (in patients on spinal anesthesia)

• Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, difficulty breathing)

• Inject around the same time daily for consistent results.

• Rotate injection sites on your abdomen to prevent skin irritation.

• Do not rub the injection site after administering the dose.

• Avoid over-the-counter painkillers like ibuprofen unless approved by your doctor.

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, unless it's almost time for the next dose. Do not double up.
