Ezentia 10mg tablet contains the active ingredient ezetimibe. It is mainly used in the treatment of cholesterol. The fatty substances that are present in the blood and vessels in excessive amounts lead to the narrowing of blood vessels which causes heart attack or stroke. This medication is used to lower LDL cholesterol which is considered as "bad" cholesterol. Cholesterol levels should be checked regularly. Along with the medication, patients are asked to follow good eating habits, exercise regularly, avoid too many oil food items, avoid smoking habits and alcohol, and reduce weight, which can balance their cholesterol level and increase the effectiveness of the medication. It is better to inform your doctor about the history of the medication you are taking along with this medication. The most common side effects of this medication include joint pain and diarrhea. Inform your doctor about any previous history of kidney and liver problems because this medicine is used with caution in those patients. This medication should not be given to pregnant women or women who are planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding mothers.

Ezentia 10mg tablet is a cholesterol absorption inhibitor. It reduces the cholesterol stored in the intestine by absorption of cholesterol. So, LDL cholesterol, which is considered bad cholesterol, gets reduced. The total amount of cholesterol in the blood and vessels decreases, thereby reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.

• Keep Ezentia 10mg tablet out of sight and reach of children.

The dose and duration of this medicine should be taken as per the advice of the doctor. Preferably, the tablet should be taken every day at the same time, with food or without food. It is best to swallow the capsule tablet with a glass of water rather than breaking or chewing it.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medications cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Avoid driving and handling machinery as it decreases your alertness, and you may feel sleepy. The dosage and duration of this medication should be taken as per the doctor's advice. You should not stop medication on your own.
