Favtris 800mg Tablet consists of the active ingredient Favipiravir. It is an antiviral medicine used to treat influenza and other viral infections, including Covid-19. It belongs to a group of antiviral medicines that interfere with the replication of the virus. It does not treat infections caused by bacteria.
It is effective against wide range of influenza viruses that are resistant to other anti-influenza drugs. It might be crucial for ensuring an efficient treatment, decrease mortality and allow early discharge in relation to Covid-19. It can be administered to patients who have symptoms but are not in need for hospitalization.

- Viral infections such as influenza.
- Mild to moderate COVID-19 disease
How Favtris 800mg Tablet works:
Favtris 800mg Tablet metabolizes to ribosyl triphosphate, converts into its active form called Favipiravir-RTP and selectively inhibits RNA polymerase, that is responsible for viral replication. It works by stopping the replication of the infection causing virus in the body.
Interactions with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking before starting treatment with favipiravir.

Pregnancy:
This medicine is not safe to be used in pregnancy. Consult your doctor for advice if you think you might be pregnant.
Breastfeeding:
It is not recommended to breastfeed while taking this medicine. Consult your doctor for advice.
Liver:
Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you have liver diseases.
Kidney:
Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you have liver diseases.
Others:
- Inform your physician if you have abnormalities in uric acid metabolism (gout, hyperuricemia etc.)
- Consult your physician for advice if you have experienced hypersensitivity reactions to this medicine or its components.
- Follow effective contraceptive methods while on this treatment and for 7 days after the last dose.
Side Effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Although all medicines cause side effects; not everyone gets them.
Severe:
- Allergic reactions
- Increased blood uric acid levels
- Abnormal behaviour
- Shock
- Pneumonia
- Liver problems
- Kidney injury
- Psychiatric symptoms (disturbance of consciousness, delirium, hallucinations, delusions, convulsions, etc.)

- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Dizziness
