Introduction
Foxime S Injection is a combination antibiotic medicine containing Cefuroxime (a second-generation cephalosporin) and Sulbactam (a beta-lactamase inhibitor). This powerful combination helps treat serious bacterial infections by preventing bacteria from multiplying and by blocking enzymes that make bacteria resistant to antibiotics. Doctors often prescribe it for diseases of the lungs, urinary tract, abdomen, skin, and soft tissues, as well as for post-surgical infections.av
Uses
Foxime S Injection is used to treat:
-
Respiratory tract infections (e.g., pneumonia, bronchitis)
-
Urinary tract infections (including complicated cases)
-
Skin and soft tissue infections
-
Intra-abdominal infections
-
Post-surgical infections
How Foxime S Injection Works
-
Cefuroxime kills bacteria by disrupting their cell wall, making them unable to survive.
-
Sulbactam protects Cefuroxime from being destroyed by beta-lactamase enzymes, thereby boosting its effectiveness against resistant bacteria.
Together, this combination is highly effective against a broad spectrum of bacteria.
