Introduction:

Furoped Pineapple Flavour 300mg Solution consists of the active substance Furosemide. It is indicated for the treatment of edema caused by heart failure, liver cirrhosis and kidney disease. It also controls high blood pressure when used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents. It promotes urination in patients who were resistant to other diuretics.

Report to your physician right away if you experience symptoms like weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, restlessness, muscle pain, cramps, increased heart rate or low BP. These are the signs of fluid and electrolyte imbalance that occurs when this medicine is consumed in excess.

• Regulation of mild to moderate hypertension

How Furoped Pineapple Flavour 300mg Solution works:

Furoped Pineapple Flavour 300mg Solution works by blocking sodium, potassium and chloride transporters in the kidney. It decreases the absorption of sodium chloride and potassium chloride by the kidney. Thus it promotes urination and enhances salt and water elimination from the body, eventually reducing swelling.

Interaction with other drugs:

Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Furoped Pineapple Flavour 300mg Solution:

Use as directed by the physician.

Safety Advice:

Pregnancy:

Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you are pregnant or think you might be pregnant. Your physician will prescribe this medicine only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks.

Breastfeeding: 

This medicine could inhibit milk production. Consult your physician for advice before breastfeeding during this treatment

Liver:

Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you have liver diseases. 

Kidney:

Inform your physician before starting this treatment if you have severe kidney disease. Your physician will prescribe according to your condition.

Driving: 

Avoid driving or using machinery if you experience dizziness or blurred vision.

Allergies: 

Inform your physician if you experience allergic reactions to Furosemide, sulfonamide or its ingredients.

Others:

• Inform your physician if you have epilepsy, diabetes or electrolyte imbalances.
• Inform your physician if you are aged above 65 years. Your physician will start this therapy from a low dose.
• Your physician will regularly conduct blood tests to monitor your electrolyte, mineral and glucose levels in your blood.
