Introduction to Gliptoza 6mg Injection
Gliptoza 6mg Injection contains an active component called Liraglutide. This medicine belongs to a group of mineral salts. It is used to treat type 2 diabetes. It is also used to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events (Heart disease) in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is used when diet, exercise, and other diabetes medicines are not sufficient to control blood sugar levels. Inform your doctor if you are allergic to the medicine or its ingredients before using the medicine.
It is not recommended for patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis (the body produces excess blood acid), liver disease, heart failure, stomach or gut problems (inflammatory bowel disease), acute pancreatitis, or thyroid disease. Consult your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant or think you may be pregnant while breastfeeding. Gliptoza 6mg Injection may cause hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), which makes it hard to focus. Hence, it is advised to avoid driving or operating machines if you have symptoms of hypoglycemia.

- Hyperglycemia (you have a high blood sugar level)
- Slow down the food passage rate into the stomach
- Heart disease.
Therapeutic Effects of Gliptoza 6mg Injection
Gliptoza 6mg Injection activates the glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor, which triggers the release of insulin, reduces the release of glucagon, and delays stomach emptying, helping to control blood sugar levels.
Interaction of Gliptoza 6mg Injection with other drugs
Inform your doctor about any prescribed medications, over-the-counter medicines, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products you take or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Gliptoza 6mg Injection and can cause undesirable side effects.

Breast Feeding
It is unknown whether Gliptoza 6mg Injection is excreted in breast milk. So, before starting the treatment, inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding. Consult your doctor for more information.
Alcohol
It is unknown whether Gliptoza 6mg Injection is safe to consume alcohol under medication. So, it is recommended to consult your doctor before taking medicine.
Liver

Lungs

Driving
It is unsafe to drive while taking Gliptoza 6mg Injection because this medicine might cause Low blood sugar levels (hypoglycemia), dizziness, and tiredness, so avoid driving and operating machinery during this treatment.
Pregnancy
Consult your healthcare provider if you plan to get pregnant. However, Gliptoza 6mg Injection has not been given to expectant mothers, and it should only be used when the projected advantages outweigh any possible hazards to the fetus.
Side Effects of Gliptoza 6mg Injection
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.
Serious:
- Hypoglycaemia (signs include cold sweat, cool pale skin, headache, fast heartbeat, feeling sick, feeling very hungry, changes in vision, feeling sleepy, feeling weak, nervous, anxious, confused, difficulty concentrating, shaking)

- Nausea (feeling sick)
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Decreased appetite
- Indigestion
- Constipation
- Headache
- Inflamed stomach (gastritis)
- Heartburn
- Painful or swollen tummy (abdomen)

- Injection site reactions (bruising, pain, irritation, itching, and rash)
- Increase of pancreatic enzymes (lipase and amylase).

It is recommended to have plenty of water to avoid dehydration caused by the drug side effects.
