Introduction to Hemazide O 200mg Tablet
Hemazide-O 200mg Tablet is a prescription anticancer medication used in the treatment of certain types of blood cancers, primarily myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukaemia (AML). It contains Azacitidine, a chemotherapy agent that belongs to the class of anti-metabolites. Azacitidine works by modifying the way cancer cells grow and divide, helping to control abnormal cell growth in the bone marrow.
This tablet is used when injection formulations are not suitable or as part of a long-term treatment plan for blood cancer management. Treatment with Hemazide-O should always be guided by a cancer specialist or haematologist experienced in chemotherapy care.
Uses of Hemazide O 200mg Tablet

Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS) – a group of disorders caused by poorly formed or dysfunctional blood cells.

Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) – a type of cancer that starts in the bone marrow and leads to the rapid growth of abnormal white blood cells.

How Hemazide O Tablet Works
Azacitidine helps treat blood cancer by correcting how genes work inside cells. In cancer, some genes that normally control cell growth get turned off. Azacitidine helps switch these important genes back on, allowing the body to make healthier blood cells and slowing down the growth of cancer cells.

How to consume Hemazide O 200mg Tablet
