• Hemorrhagic cystitis (bladder inflammation)

These two combinations together work by damaging the DNA in cancer cells, which leads to cell death and slows the growth and spread of cancer. Mostly, this involves the formation of reactive metabolites in the liver, which are then transported to cancer cells in the body. These metabolites react with the DNA in the cancer cells, causing cross-links and breaks in the DNA strands. This interferes with the replication and transcription of DNA, leading to cell death.

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with Holoxan with uromitexan 2gm injection and reduce effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. 

• Store Holoxan with uromitexan 2gm injection in a refrigerator (20°C to 25°C).
• Do not freeze.
• Keep it out of reach from children.

It will be given to you by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic setting trained in cancer chemotherapy. Holoxan with uromitexan 2gm injection is given as an intravenous infusion drip (into your vein). Do not self-administer the injection. Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease severity, body weight, and other factors.

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

Common

• Hair loss
• Fever
• Phlebitis
• Liver toxicity
• Infections

This injection may cause severe birth defects if taken during pregnancy. Female patients with reproductive potential should use effective contraception during the treatment. Male patients with female partners with reproductive potential should use effective birth control methods during the treatment and for at least 5 months after their last dose. Do not breastfeed during treatment with this injection. Your doctor may advise you to take certain tests to check for the effectiveness of the therapy. Holoxan with uromitexan 2gm injection may cause dizziness, drowsiness, or blurred vision, so it is important to avoid driving. It's important to avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice while taking this injection because this can lead to increased levels of the drug in your body and a higher risk of side effects. If you miss a dose of this drug and it is close to the time for your next scheduled dose, you should skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule. It is not recommended to take a double dose to make up for a missed one.
