Imalieva 400mg Tablet is a protein-tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks a specific abnormal protein created by a chromosomal abnormality that signals cancer cells to multiply. It inhibits the multiplication and induces cell death in abnormal cancer cells. 

Inform your healthcare provider about all the medicines you take, including prescription medications, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications may interact with the effects of Imalieva 400mg Tablet and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects. Inform your physician, especially if you are using medicines that prevent the formation of blood clots.

• Store Imalieva 400mg Tablet at the room temperature (25°C)

Your doctor will decide the dose and duration of the treatment based on your disease condition, severity and other factors. Take the tablets as prescribed by your doctor. Do not break, crush, or chew the tablets. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Take this medicine with a meal to avoid stomach problems. If you are unable to swallow the tablets, you can dissolve them as per your doctor's advice. 

Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all drugs cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

 Common:

• Swelling in the face, legs, ankle and feet
• Bruising
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Weight gain
• Disturbed sense of taste
• Feeling dizzy or weak
• Eye problem (discharging, itching, redness or swelling)
• Nose bleeds
• Itching
• Unusual hair loss
• Muscle cramps and pain
• Diarrhea
• Numbness (hands or feet)
• Mouth ulcers.
• Joint pain with swelling.
• Dryness (eye, mouth and skin)
• Decreased or increased skin sensitivity.
• Hot flushes, chills or night sweats.
• Tiredness or dizziness
• Abdominal pain
• Headache

Serious:

• Heart problem
• Lung or respiratory problem
• Blood disorder
• Chronic renal failure
• Retarding of growth in children
• GI disorders
• Hypothyroidism
• Liver failure
• Swelling in the body

It is recommended to drink a sufficient amount of water or electrolyte to compensate for the water loss during the diarrhoea or vomiting. It is recommended to take enough rest for a fast recovery. It is advised to avoid eating junk and oily foods which worsen the adverse effect of the drug. Your doctor will advise you to do a blood test and weight check during the medication. Applying a small amount of honey in the mouth ulcer, it will help you to relieve the pain caused by the ulcer.
