Influvac Tetra 0.5ml Injection, also known as flu shots, consists of the active substance Influenza vaccine. It is administered to protect you or your child against flu viruses. Influenza is an acute infection affecting the lungs. It is caused by Influenza A or Influenza B virus.
There is a higher chance of mortality in elderly patients, pregnant women and patients with comorbidities. This vaccine does not guarantee complete protection against flu. If you or your child is exposed to the flu immediately after vaccination, there is still a possibility of getting infected as the incubation period is a few days.
Uses of Influvac Tetra 0.5ml Injection:
- Protection against Influenza (flu) for adults above 18 years of age and children above 6 months.
- Protection against four strains of virus about 2 to 3 weeks after injection.
How Influvac Tetra 0.5ml Injection works:
Influvac Tetra 0.5ml Injection stimulates the immune system to produce antibodies against the disease. This vaccine protects the pregnant woman and her child from birth to six months of age against the disease when administered during pregnancy.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

- Store in a refrigerator (2–8˚C). Do not freeze.
