Lidofix 2% gel 30gm works by blocking the initiation and conduction of nerve impulses, primarily through decreasing ionic flux and blocking specific channels. This action results in local anesthesia, effectively preventing pain by inhibiting the signals at the nerve endings in the skin. This leads to the numbness effect. Unlike general anesthetics used in surgery, lignocaine does not cause unconsciousness.

Inform your healthcare provider about all your medicines, including prescription, over-the-counter, nutritional or vitamin supplements, and herbal products. Certain medications interact with lidofix 2% gel 30gm and reduce their effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

When using lidofix 2% gel 30gm, apply a small amount to the needed area and wait at least 3 hours before reapplying. Clean and dry the area thoroughly before use, and apply only to clean unbroken skin. Avoid covering with bandages or makeup unless advised by a doctor. For mouth sores, gently dab a small amount onto the sore area with a finger or cotton bud, avoiding the back of the mouth to prevent choking. For best results, use the gel after meals.
