Uses of Megatas-S 50mg Tablet:
- To treat overactive bladder with symptoms of urge incontinence, urgency and urinary frequency
How Megatas-S 50mg Tablet works:
β3 receptors are present in the detrusor muscle of the urinary bladder and induce its relaxation. Mirabegron activates the β3 receptors, reduces the bladder tone by relaxing the detrusor muscle and inhibits overactivity of the bladder.
Muscarinic receptors play a substantial role in the contraction of urinary bladder smooth muscles and secretion of saliva. Solifenacin is a muscarinic antagonist that selectively targets and inhibits muscarinic receptor M3, specifically on the urinary bladder muscles. This reduces the activity of the overactive bladder and increases the amount of urine the bladder can hold.
Interaction with other drugs:
Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.
