Myestin 60mg Tablet contains the active constituent pyridostigmine. It is used for the treatment of myasthenia gravis. Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular disorder in which the muscles quickly become weak and tired, and in severe cases, the muscles may get paralyzed. It is also used to treat the inability to pass urine after surgery and treat some rare forms of constipation (paralytic ileus).
Inform your doctor if you have wheezing, chest problems, recently had a heart attack, low blood pressure, stomach ulcer, kidney problems, thyroid problems, had surgery to remove the thymus gland, and seizures before taking this medicine. Myestin 60mg Tablet contains lactose; contact your doctor if you have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars.

How Myestin 60mg Tablet works:
Myestin 60mg Tablet inhibits the choline esterase (enzymes involved in breaking the acetylcholine), Protects the acetylcholine, and promotes the proper signal transmission of acetylcholine in the nervous system.

Inform your doctor about any medications you are taking or have taken before the treatment.

How to use Myestin 60mg Tablet:
Take this medication in the dose and duration prescribed by your physician. Swallow the tablets with water or other non-alcoholic drink. If you have difficulty swallowing, you can break the tablets into pieces.
Safety advice:
Pregnancy:
Inform your physician if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant before taking this medication. Your physician will instruct you to take it when it is necessary.
Breastfeeding:
Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding before taking this medicine as it passes into breast milk in small amounts.
Kidney:
Special care must be exercised in patients with kidney disorders. Inform your doctor if you have any kidney diseases.
Driving:
This medicine may reduce the sharpness of the eyesight and hence your ability to drive or use medicines. Avoid driving or handling heavy machines if the medicine affects your ability to see clearly.
Others:
- This medicine contains lactose, contact your doctor if you have been told that you have an intolerance to some sugars.
Side effects are unwanted symptoms caused by medicines. Even though all medicines cause side effects, not everyone gets them.

- Visual disturbance, more tears
- Irregular heartbeat
- Low blood pressure
- More phlegm, constriction of airways
